You’ve finally done it – you finally set up a Facebook page for your business.
Now what?
Every small business should be on social media, particularly Facebook. From Facebook groups to their advertisement options, Facebook offers many tools that small businesses can benefit from. Having a solid Facebook presence can help you engage more customers, increase your brand visibility, and grow your business.
However, do you start connecting with your target audience? How do you get people to follow you on Facebook? How do you get people to engage with you? How do you make your Facebook page standout among millions of profiles?
To start connecting with potential customers on your Facebook page, CSS Ocean offers the following tips that may help promote your new page:
- Create a Separate Business Page
Even if you already have a personal Facebook page, it would be ideal for you to create a separate Facebook business page. With a Facebook business page, you can enjoy a more professional, solid Facebook presence. A business page is just like a regular profile, but it’s focused on promoting businesses and brands.
When you set up your Facebook business page, you will notice that there are a lot of customization options. Add relevant information about your business, including your address, contact information, business hours, products, official website, and more.
- Use Your Current Network
Once your Facebook page is up and running, the next thing that you need to do is to invite people to “Like” your page. Don’t have clients and customers yet? Use your current network, namely your family and friends! Inviting your family and friends to like your page can give you a much-needed digital footprint on Facebook. Also, consider adding your social media buttons to your email footer so that your email subscribers are consistently reminded of your active social media channels. - Regularly Post Interesting and Relevant Content
To successfully promote your business through Facebook, you need to do more than setting up a page – you need to post regularly too. Post as often as you can and at minimum, post once per day. However, please take note that posting regularly isn’t enough – you need to post quality content too. You can post information and photos about products or services, or about your staff. Other relevant content includes news and events (related to your industry), tips and tricks, interviews, behind the scenes of your business operations, and more. - Engage your Audience
With Facebook’s new algorithm pages with engaging contents and posts stand out more. Before you post anything on Facebook, ask yourself if it will start a conversation with your audience. Facebook is a social media platform – be social and interact with your followers. You can engage your customers by replying to comments, hosting polls, responding to reviews, and more.
